The benefits of regular massage therapy
The health benefits of including regular massage therapy sessions into one’s self-care routine are undeniable. I have experienced this personally and science continues to provide evidence of the many benefits to our health and wellness. Massage therapy has been proven to:
Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion.
Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.
Ease medication dependence.
Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body's natural defense system.
Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles.
Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.
Improve the condition of the body's largest organ—the skin.
Increase joint flexibility.
Lessen depression and anxiety.
Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks.
Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, impoving circulation.
Reduce postsurgery adhesions and swelling.
Reduce spasms and cramping.
Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles.
Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body's natural painkiller.
Relieve migraine pain
These pains you feel are messengers.
Listen to them.

A little about The owner of Mindful touch
I have always been fascinated by the human body. I love learning about what it needs to thrive and have been on a life long journey to improve my own body, mind, & spirit. When I was introduced to massage therapy in 2003, I was amazed at the benefits I received from receiving regular sessions. In 2014, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a massage therapist and providing superior massage therapy services to the people of Morganton , NC.
Morganton has supported my dream, and I am so very grateful! I am now working to expand my dream to reach more people by adding more massage therapists and other healing modalities to Mindful Touch.
Nikki was a great choice for my first ever massage. As soon as I entered her room there was relaxing music playing and an inviting vibe. She first asked about problem areas, focused on those and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I have never been so relaxed in my life! It was so life changing! I will definitely return and be telling all my friends.
Self-care is a huge need in my life between working as a Hospice Nurse and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She helps decrease my stress levels coming from working an emotional job and relieves my aches/pains from the hard physical work I put into my martial arts training. Each massage I receive is customized depending on what I need, whether it's relaxation or working on an inflamed muscle pinching a nerve. Nikki is really receptive and appreciates her clients.
